Guntur to host badminton tourney

VIJAYAWADA: Badminton Association of India has allotted the all-India junior major ranking badminton tournament to Guntur in which 1,000 boys and girls representing 25 state will take part, according to the BAI joint secretary K.Ch. Punnaiah Choudary here on Monday.

“The tournament will be held from January 3 to 8, 2009. The tournament will be held in u-10, u-13, u-16 and u-19 segments, both singles and doubles. Mixed doubles event will feature in u-19 segment,” he added.
