VISAKHAPATNAM: A warm welcome was accorded to N. Usha, winner of silver medal in the World women’s boxing championship held in China last week, when she returned home on Monday. A large number of sportspersons, many of them boxers, office-bearers of the sports associations and sports lovers welcomed Usha at the airport. Usha was profusely garlanded and was congratulated for winning a medal for the second successive time in the World championship. They wished her to perform better in the future championships. Secretary of District Amateur Boxing Association G.V. Ravi Raju, Usha’s coach I. Venkateswara Rao, general secretary of East Coast Railway Sports Association (Waltair) B. Appana Reddy, who is also a boxing coach and former National boxer, and others greeted Usha.
