VCK cadres removed

Coimbatore: Cadres of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, led by City unit secretary Thennarasu, were removed by the police on Monday when they attempted to burn former Chief Minister and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam General Secretary Jayalalithaa in effigy.

The cadres had given a call for burning the effigy in protest against the remarks made by the AIADMK leader questioning the authority of the State Government in providing reservation for Arundadhiyar community within the existing reservation system.
