Adi Tamilar Peravai cadres arrested

KARUR: Police arrested 10 cadres of the Adi Tamilar Peravai when they attempted to burn an effigy of the former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa near the bus stand here on Monday. The Peravai members alleged that the AIADMK leader had indulged in false propaganda in the issue of reservation for Arunthathiyars. The Peravai State Volunteers Wing president Veeramurugu led the protest in which district secretary V. Gopal and others participated.
