Terror aftermath: Yeddyurappa wants Chief Ministers’ meet
Special Correspondent
BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Monday urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to convene a meeting of Chief Ministers of all States to discuss the precautionary measures to be taken to avert further terror attacks. He said the resignation of Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil would not solve problems related to terrorism.
Speaking to presspersons after garlanding the statue of former Chief Minister Kengal Hanumanthaiya, in front of Vidhana Soudha on the occasion of his 28th death anniversary, the Chief Minister said instead of considering Mr. Patil’s resignation as an achievement, the Union Government should dwell on the steps to be taken to check terrorism. Mr. Yeddyurappa said Karnataka was geared up to face the menace.
