The projects will be taken up in 21 districts and implemented by the Panchayat Raj Engineering and Tribal Welfare Engineering departments.

A press release issued by the bank here on Monday said the projects would benefit 579 villages, with a population of 5.3 lakh. They would provide all-weather access to 263 marketing centres/mandal headquarters.

The road and bridge projects are supported under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund.

They are estimated to provide 60.35 lakh mandays of non-recurring employment opportunities.

The Zilla Parishad High School Programme will be taken up in 17 districts.

The programme is likely to generate non-recurring employment of 12.52 lakh mandays and additional enrolment of 11,880 students, the press release said.
