Plea to hike aid for Girijana Bhavans

HYDERABAD: The AP Scheduled Tribes Employees Association has appealed to Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy to sanction Rs.1 crore, instead of Rs. 55 lakh, for the construction of Girijana Bhavan in each district headquarters. In a representation submitted to Dr. Reddy and Tribal Welfare Minister D. Redya Naik, he said the increased allocation was necessary in view of the abnormal increase in the cost of construction. — Special Correspondent
