36-year-old man held on charge of theft

Thiruvananthapuram: The police have arrested a 36-year-old man on the charge of stealing construction material from the new Civil Station complex premises at Kudappanakunnu.
The police identified the suspect as Biju, 36, a local resident.
They said they were looking for three more persons in connection with the crime. Metal cables, steel rods, cement and bricks valued at more than Rs.one lakh could have been stolen. The thefts had taken place over a period of one year.
The police have upped security in the area following Biju’s arrest.
