Detained under Goondas Act

Coimbatore: Collector V. Palanikumar has ordered the detention of Ragupan alias Rahib alias Babu son of Abdul Razack of Cuddalore district under Goondas Act.

Rahib was involved in cases of theft, house break and burglary in various police limits. With this the total number of detentions in Coimbatore rural police has gone up to 31.

The police have arrested four persons for involving in lifting of two-wheelers and four-wheelers and selling them through forged RC books. Those arrested were Abbas and Subramanian, who acted as agents for forging RC books, S. Arunagiri and K. Vijayakumar.
