BANGALORE: Expressing shock over the death of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the National Security Guards’ operation at the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, Governor Rameshwar Thakur, in a message to Unnikrishnan Nair, father of Maj. Sandeep, said: “A brilliant officer of the Indian Army, Maj. Sandeep made the supreme sacrifice while trying to save the lives of innocent people in a heinous terrorist attack on them. His services would be remembered for long not only by those who were near and dear to him but by the grateful countrymen at large.”
