GITAM varsity admission notification soon

Online test to be conducted in select cities in the country

VISAKHAPATNAM: GITAM University will release a combined all-India admission notification for its B.Tech., MBA, MCA, B. Pharmacy and M.Sc. programmes. The admission notification will be released during the second week of December.

This was decided at a special meeting on admission process conducted by Vice-Chancellor M. Gangadhara Rao. The online entrance test will be conducted at selected cities in different parts of the country.

Prof. Gangadhara Rao appreciated the senior faculty members for their god performance during the current academic year and pointed out that engineering students of the institution had completed their first semester while their counterparts in other engineering colleges were still engaged with class work.

He said the students would benefit by the way of catching up with the placement schedule if the academic year was completed according to schedule, since academic schedule was always linked with campus placements.

Registrar P.M. Valli, Admissions Director J.A. Chandulal and other senior officials participated in the meeting.

Tie-up with CMU

GITAM University and Central Michigan University (CMU) entered into an MoU to mutually enhance the quality of international education at the two institutions through provision of reduced tuition for students from GITAM attending CMU.

Prof. Valli and Central Michigan University International Education Director Mark Poindexter signed the MoU in the presence of Prof. Gangadhara Rao on Saturday. GITAM University R&D Director Madhusudhana Rao and A.P. Productivity Council Senior Deputy Director G. Ramabhadra Rao were present.

CMU is the fourth largest university in Michigan. Established in 1892, it is a public, doctoral research institution.
