Chinnappa, Yashoda take honours

BHAGAMANDALA: Hosoklu Chinnappa (MRC, Wellington) and A.B. Yashoda (Alvas’s College, Moodabidare) won the men’s and women’s section in the 15th Kodagu Cauvery Marathon on Sunday.

The results: Men (42.2kms): 1. Hosoklu Chinnappa (MRC) 2.34:43s, 2. Shahnawaz (MEG, Bangalore), 3. Rajesh (Idukki). Women (21.1km): 1. A.B. Yashoda (Alvas’s) 1.41:11, 2. Ashalata (Katakeri), 3. Satyabhama R. D’Souza (W. Rly). Boys (5km): 1. B.D. Hitaishi (Murnad HS), 2. M.J. Monnappa, 3. K.P. Puneet (both Aruna JC); Girls: 1. Jashmi (Bharati PU College), 2 S.M. Tajaswini, 3. M.B. Monica (both Cauvery PU College).
