Indians win seven medals

New Delhi: After all their four finalists ended up on the losing side, the Indians will return from the Military boxing championship in Baku, Azerbaijan with a haul of four silver and three bronze medals.

Paramjit Singh (48kg), Suranjoy Singh (51kg), Chhote Lal Yadav (57kg) and Manpreet Singh (91kg) lost to locals in their respective summit clashes to settle for silver medals.

Earlier, Melbourne Commonwealth Games gold medallist Som Bahadur Pun (64kg), Mahendra Thapa (81kg) and Mehar Singh (+91kg) had to be content with bronze medals after losing their semifinals. — PTI
