Discuss internal security in Parliament: Madhu

Staff Reporter

Serious action to prevent terrorist activities needed, says CPI (M) leader

SANGAREDDY: CPI (M) member of Parliament P. Madhu, who was here on Sunday to participate in a padayatra in the town, demanded that discussion on internal security should be taken up in the Parliament sessions.

Facts concealed

“The resignation of Home Minister Shivraj Patil is only an eyewash and is not enough. There should be a serious action to prevent terrorist activities,” he opined while speaking to reporters here. Alleging that both the Congress-led UPA and BJP-led NDA had concealed the facts concerning terrorist activities in the country, the MP said that there were terrorist strikes for as many as 27 times in the country during the UPA rule.

Referring to State politics, Mr. Madhu said that the poor could not get justice unless the Congress government was dethroned.

Informing that both the TDP and CPI (M) has decided to extend support to Kamala Kumari, an independent candidate from the graduate constituency of Karimnagar, Mr. Madhu expressed confidence that the CPI would also extend support to her.

He also sanctioned Rs. 10 lakh each to Sadasivapet and Sangareddy towns from MPLADS funds for development activities.
