State-level contests from February 13

TIRUPATI: Abhinaya Arts, a Tirupati-based cultural organisation, is conducting State-level competitions from February 13 to 15, as part of its ninth anniversary.

Playlets

Applications for poetic playlets (58), social playlets (47) and mono-action (94) have been received from cultural troupes across the State, which will be screened before December 7 for performance during the fest.

Folk dance

Mythological, social, one-act play, classical and folk dance competitions will also be held on the occasion.

A cash prize of Rs.1116 and Rs.616 will be given away to the first and second prize winners respectively.

The proceeds of the event will go towards distribution of hearing aids to children with aural impairment.
