THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hundreds of people and senior political leaders assembled at the Kavalkkadavu Junction late Saturday to pay homage to the father and son, Murugan and Aneesh Prabhu, 27, who were killed in the terror strike at the Chathrapathi Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai on Wednesday. The bodies of the victims were brought from Mumbai by an Air India flight. They were taken to Kavalkkadavu Junction in two ambulances at 10.45 p.m. The bodies were kept on a specially erected podium at the junction for the public to pay their last respects. Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs M. Vijayakumar; Minister for Finance T.M. Thomas Isaac; Minister for Education M.A. Baby; Minister for Food C. Divakaran; Minister for Electricity A.K. Balan; and Mayor C. Jayan Babu; were among those who offered their respects. The bodies were later taken to their residence for performing the last rites.
