CPDCL to withdraw pending cases

A compounding amount of Rs. 1,000 to be paid to CPDCL


HYDERABAD: The Central Power Distribution Company Limited on Saturday announced that it would withdraw the theft cases pending as on March 31, 2008 against the domestic consumers whose connected load was below 250 watts. Those with connected loads between 250 watts and 1000 watts and with cases pending from before the aforesaid date may pay a compounding amount of Rs.1,000 to have the cases withdrawn.

The services will be regularised under Rajeev Gandhi Grameena Vidyutikaran Yojana only if the consumers pay Rs.125 as connectivity charges, a press release said.
