Four more drown

Four more persons are reported to have drowned in waterways and lakes in the city and its suburbs after the recent rain. On Saturday, Gunaseelan (40) of Triplicane was found dead in Ramavaram lake. Krishnan (40), a porter at Central station, drowned in a lake in Vyasarpadi. A body, later identified as Nathan (39), was retrieved from Chetpet lake. Police added that the body of an unidentified male was found in a flood carrier channel at Tondiarpet.

P. Vijayakumar (14) of Kunrathur was electrocuted on Friday night. He was walking along the road when he accidentally came in contact with a live wire . He was admitted to Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital where he died. Kuppuswamy (51), was found dead on a platform in Vepery on Saturday morning. Police suspect that the cause of death is exposure to rain and cold weather.
