NEW DELHI: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president J. P. Agarwal on Saturday said that people voted in large numbers in the Delhi Assembly elections to protect their own interests and rights. Mr. Agarwal said that he went round many polling booths in East Delhi, West Delhi, North Delhi, South Delhi and New Delhi and was happy to see the large turnout of voters. “It was heartening to see the old, young, physically challenged and women residents casting their votes.”
