Water level

MADURAI: Water level in the Periyar dam on Saturday stood at 120.2 0 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 474 cusecs and a discharge of 1,200 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 64.63 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,328 cusecs and a discharge of 121 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 3,991 mcft.

Peranai recorded 135 mm of rainfall followed by Sattaiyar dam 36.2, Kuppanampatti 35.3, Mettupatti 19, Andipatti 14, Manjalar dam 11, Marudhanadi and Vaigai dam 10 each, Uthamapalyam 7, Sothuparai dam 6, Shanmuganadi and Veerapandi 1 each.
