On Saturday we moved one lakh litres to 1,000 shops for distribution to card holders. This showed how quick the government is responding to the needs of flood affected people”, the Collector said. Kerosene will be distributed at the rate of two litres per person. The Collector said that top priority is given to restoring power supply in the district. Teams have come from Karur, Madurai for helping Tamil Nadu Electricity Board officials. 1000 electric poles have been moved from Erode for erection in places where they have fallen.
