BHOPAL: Madhya Prades witnessed a record turnout of 69.31 per cent voters in the State Assembly elections this past week, making it the biggest ever participation by the people of the State till now. According to figures available with the State Election Office, the poll percentage has been showing an upward trend since 1980 and reached a peak on Thursday, surpassing the 2003 percentage of 67.41. — PTI
