Telangana gazetted officers seek pay revision

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Gazetted Officers’ Central Association on Saturday met Pay Revision Commissioner C. Subba Rao and submitted a detailed report on the revision of pay scales and service-related issues of the gazetted cadre.

It suggested a minimum pay of Rs.8,500 and a maximum of Rs.80,000, with a fitment of 60 per cent of the existing pay as on July 1 this year.

Association leaders headed by E. Venkatesham, president, and four others, sought 5 per cent of the basic pay as the rate of increment and an automatic advancement scheme for every five years on special grade.

They wanted HRA of 30 per cent for major cities, 20 per cent for other places and 50 per cent of the last pay drawn as the quantum of pension.

The leaders said in a statement later that they had made 20 suggestions in the report submitted to the official.
