DMK warning

CHENNAI: DMK general secretary K.Anabazhagan on Friday warned of disciplinary action against those who attempt to launch organisations in the name of late or present leaders and run them as affiliated bodies of the party. In a press release, he explained as per party rules prior permission from the party headquarters was necessary for forming an organisation or running a library in the name of DMK leaders. “But, they should function as affiliated bodies of the party in the village or local unit. Converting these bodies into union level and district level organisations is not permitted,” he said.

Mr Anbazhagan said the party had nothing to do with such organisations. “Party cadres are advised not to have any links with these organisations,” he said. — Special Correspondent
