Tourist boat service inaugurated

Kozhikode: The tourist boat service through the Chaliyar, between the Beypore and Chaliyam estuary areas, was inaugurated by Industries Minister Elamaram Karim at Chaliyam, near here, on Saturday.

The boating will help tourists explore the scenic coastal line of the Chaliyar. The boat service will also take them along the Kadalundi Tourism Island, mangrove reserve and several other tourist attractions.

Services of houseboats, ordinary tourist boats, rafts and boats with air-conditioned facilities will be available for domestic and foreign tourists. Chaliyam Pulimuttu, Chaliyam lighthouse, Bepore port and Kadalundi bird sanctuary are some of the other tourist attractions in the area. For details call: 0495-322 7754 or 9947 878206.
