Boy makes hoax call

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Watching the visuals on TV on the terrorist attack in Mumbai led a fifth standard student play a prank and cause panic among air travellers.

This 10-year-old boy called the Bangalore International Airport police station around 10.30 p.m. on Thursday and said that a bomb had been planted at the airport. The police called the bomb disposal and dog squad from Adugodi. The police searched the airport till 3 a.m. on Friday, but did not find any bomb. “He was inspired by watching the visuals of the terror attack,” said DCP (North-East) Basavaraj Malagatti.
