Two killed in road accident

Bangalore: Two persons were killed when their motorcycle hit a stationary lorry on Narayanapura Service Road near K.R. Puram on Thursday.

The police said Ramesh (19) of Harapanahalli and his friend S.M. Shivu (19) of Bellary were returning from work when Ramesh lost control over the motorcycle and hit the lorry on Mahadevapura Ring Road. Both were killed on the spot.

Burglary

Gold and cash, totalling about Rs. 10 lakh, were burgled from the house of Niranjan Gupta, travel agent, in Jayanagar 8th Block, 7th Main, on Thursday.

The police said Gupta had gone with his family to Ooty. He returned on Thursday and saw the gold and cash missing.

The Jayanagar police have registered a case.

Arrested

The Central Crime Branch police arrested an 18-year-old 1st year B.Com student and three others for their alleged involvement in six cases of chain-snatching.
