IAS officers transferred

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Government on Friday effected transfers of some IAS officers.

An official press release issued in Chennai said that T.S. Sridhar, vice chairman, Science city, is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Archaeology vice Shanthini Kapoor, holding additional charge. Sridhar shall also hold the post of Commissioner of Museums vice Shanthini Kapoor.

Ms. Kapoor is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (Training) vice K.N. Venkataramanan. Ms. Kapoor shall also hold the post of Special Officer, Entrepreneurship Development Institute vice V. Varaprasada Rao, proceeding on leave.

Mr. Venkataramanan is transferred and posted as Secretary to Government, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department vice C. Chandramouli, holding additional charge.

Hitesh Kumar S. Makwana, Joint Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board and Project Director, Hogenakkal Water Supply Project, is transferred and posted as Project Director, Tsunami Project Implementation Unit, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department vice V. Thangavelu, relieved from the post from November 30.

The services of Supriya Sahu, Project Director/Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society, are placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for appointment as its Joint Managing Director vice Hitesh Kumar S. Makwana. Ms. Sahu shall also function as Project Director, Hogenakkal Water Supply Project.

S. Vijayakumar, Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems project and ex-officio Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department shall also hold the post of Project Director/Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society.
