‘Crime prevention drive’ launch on December 1

BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa will on December 1 launch “Crime prevention drive”, a new system that not only lays emphasis on crime prevention and detection, but also measures the quality of work. Director-General and Inspector-General of Police R. Srikumar told presspersons here on Friday that the drive was being conducted to improve the traditional work of crime prevention and detection. “With increasing threats, there is lot of expectation from us. We are now having a specific programme,” he said.
