The police also seized 12 unlicensed arms and 22 cartridges during last few days, Chief Electoral Officer Satbir Silas Bedi told reporters on Friday. Besides, about 382 licensed arms have been deposited or impounded by the police. Similarly, 86 people have been bound down. Three incidents of rivalry have been witnessed relating to poll campaign. The police have executed 125 non-bailable warrants while 2,258 such warrants are pending. As part of efforts to ensure participation by large number of voters in the polls, an efficient communication system has been put in place for smooth passage of information to the citizens.
