CHANGANASSERY: St. Ephreme’s HSS (Mannanam) won the title in the second Good Shepherd all-Kerala inter-School basketball tournament, here on Friday. In the final, St. Ephreme’s defeated St. Thomas HSS (Kozhencherry) 61-51. Chandu Das (19 points) top-scored for the winner, while Richard Baby (18 points) did well for St. Thomas. The results: Final: St. Ephreme’s HSS (Mannanam) 61 (Chandu Das 19, Aby Sony 16) bt St. Thomas HSS (Kozhencherry) 51 (Richard Baby 18, Arun Alexander 10). Semifinals: St. Ephreme’s HSS 52 (Roby Thomas 16, Aby Sony 10, Chandu Das 10) bt G.V. Raja Sports School 29 (Nithin C. Thomas 10); St. Thomas HSS 53 (Arun Alexander 15, Jomon Jose 10) bt St. Joseph HSS (Pulincunnu) 45 (Nithin Raj 16, Jaimon Francis 13, K.A. Jijomon 12).
