Rajahmundry: The city crime police have arrested five members of a gang on charge of attacking a micro-finance collection agent two days ago in Rajanagaram mandal. The miscreants allegedly relieved Prakash, a collection agent of Asmita micro-finance, of Rs.42,000. Giving details, DSP S. Saibaba said that Mr. Prakash use to collect amounts in Radheyapalem of Rajanagaram every day. On Tuesday last, he went to the village as usual. While coming back, the miscreants allegedly waylaid him between Tokada and Radheyapalem. They then threw chilli powder at him, grabbed his cash bag and fled the spot on motorcycles.
