Menaria bats well

VISAKHAPATNAM: Ashok Menaria’s 91 helped Rajasthan reach 180 for six in 54 overs against Punjab at stumps on the first day of the four-day Cooch Behar under-19 elite Group B match here on Thursday.

Meanwhile in Chennai, play on the first day of both Group ‘A’ matches between Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu and Baroda and U.P.was called off on Friday due to inclement weather.

The scores: Rajasthan 180 for six (Ashok Menaria 91 batting, Jaskaran Singh three for 61); Vidarbha 208 for nine (Viraj Ratan 45, Abrar Kazi five for 36).
