KARIMNAGAR: Andhra Bank deputy general manager A. S. Prabhakar was all praise for the women self-help group members who set an excellent track record in repayment of loans. Participating as chief guest at the Andhra Bank foundation day celebrations at Godavarikhani on Friday, Mr. Prabhakar said that the bank evinced interest to disburse aid to women SHGs because of their prompt repayment. The Andhra Bank extended financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 100 crore to women SHGs in the Karimnagar zone comprising Nizamabad, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts. He also said that they had extended financial assistance of Rs. 1,200 crore to different sectors during this financial year in the zone. The DGM had also distributed financial assistance of Rs. 17 lakh to 20 SHGs on the occasion. Chief Manager G. Ravi Kumar, branch managers T. Naidu, D. V. Rao, M. V. Subramanyam, local corporator V. Srinivas Goud and others were present.
