FOR ENERGY: S. Thangavelu (second left), Chairman, Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, exchanging an MoU with A. Sampathrajan (second right), Dean, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore. COIMBATORE: Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for three years. According to a university release, the MoU will involve developing research capabilities, awareness creation in energy auditing and management, including renewable energy sources utilisation. ResearchSigned by S. Thangavelu, Chairman, SIET, and A. Sampathrajan, Dean, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, TNAU, the MoU will also include mobilising financial support from international and national companies for conducting research on renewable energy resources. The memorandum will also involve pooling information on energy conservation, energy efficiency, energy auditing, fuel cells, hydrogen production and storage. It will organise funds to conduct research and development on bio-energy by the two institutions.
