NEW DELHI: Flight operations from Indira Gandhi International Airport here in the Capital to Mumbai remained largely unaffected throughout Thursday following terror attacks in Mumbai. Air India operated its flights to Mumbai as per schedule. Jet Airways flights were also in accordance with the normal schedule, an airline official said. Kingfisher Airlines had combined two flights on the Delhi-Mumbai sector into one. The private carrier also clubbed four flights departing from Delhi to Mumbai on Friday into two. Meanwhile, Jet Airways has asked passengers to report at IGI Airport well before the scheduled departure of the aircraft owing to security reasons. “We advise passengers to carry photo identity cards or some valid identification document with them. They should also reach the airlines’ counter well in advance of the scheduled time for departure,” a Jet official said. The official also informed that the airline would take no cancellation or re-issue charges on tickets for flights operating in and out of Mumbai on Thursday as well as Friday. Security was stepped up at IGI Airport with additional manpower of Central Industrial Security Force being deployed. “We have asked all the agencies working at IGI Airport to step up vigil from their side. Additional manpower has been put in place to deal with any situation,” said a CISF official.
