KADAPA: Former district Congress president A. Amarnatha Reddy said on Thursday that he would undertake a padayatra to the Tirumala temple demanding revival of the age-old pathway from Mamandur in Railway Kodur mandal to Tirumala. He released posters urging the government to revive the pathway and name it as ‘Annamayya Marg’, as the saint-lyricist Tallapaka Annamacharya was said to have trekked along the forest route to Tirumala to have darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. TTD Board member C. Satyanarayana Naidu, former TTD board member M. Navaneeswara Reddy, INTACH convenor S. Sitaramaiah, Arasam State secretary A. Rajendra Prasad and party leader T. Sivasankar participated.
