Madikeri: The potential-linked plan (PLP) for fixing credit outlay to Kodagu for 2009-10 has been put at Rs. 966 crore, which is up by 23 per cent compared to the previous plan. The credit outlay fixed for 2008-09 was Rs. 787 crore. The PLP was released by the Chief Executive Officer of the Kodagu Zilla Panchayat, A.S. Ramachandrappa, at the lead bank office (Corporation Bank) here on Thursday. Mr. Ramachandrappa said the financial institutions achieved more than the target fixed every year in Kodagu and hoped that they would exceed the target in the next fiscal as well. The Assistant General Manager of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Shivaramakrishnan, said that the lead bank would take a decision on the exact credit plan target for Kodagu based on the PLP.
