Cooperative societies donate funds

PUDUCHERRY: Cooperative societies attached to the Cooperatives Department of the government on Thursday donated Rs. 27 lakh to the Chief Minister’s relief fund for rain-affected persons in Puducherry and Karaikal.

According to a release, Social Welfare Minister M. Kandasamy, who also holds the Cooperatives portfolio, handed over the funds to the Chief Minister. Registrar of Co-operative Societies Raviprakash and officials of the department were present.
