Suthesh is Dindigul district’s ‘cricketer of the year’

DINDIGUL: R. Suthesh was presented the Dindigul district’s ‘cricketer of the year’ award at the Dindigul DCA annual day celebrations here recently. Cricketer Dinesh Karthik gave away the prizes in the presence of TNCA honorary secretary K.S. Viswanathan.

The winners: I division: Vignesh SC (72 points); II division: PSNA CET (54); III div.: Mansur CC (80); Inter-collegiate: PSNA CET; Boost Trophy: MSPS NHSS.

Special awards: Best batsman: I div.: K. Vinoth Kumar (St. Peter’s); II div.: K. Prabhu Gandhi (Seeni Bala); III div.: S. Karthick (Playboys); Inter-collegiate: K. Chellapandi (GRI).

Best bowler: I div.: P.T. Mahendra Kumar (RVS SC); II div.: Mayang Singh (PSNA); III div.: Nachimuthu (Mansur); Inter-collegiate: P.T. Mahendrakumar. Best all-rounder: I div.: M. Thanga Paramasivam (Jahir); II div.: M. Syed Abuthahir (Samiarthottam); III div.: M. Senthilkumar (Playboys); Inter-collegiate: R. Karthick (PSNA). Hat-trick achievers: I div.: P.T. Mahendra Kumar, M. Thanga Paramasivam, P. Anburaj.
