Man dies after learning about son’s death

Special Correspondent

KADAPA: Tragedy struck the family of 70-year-old Muthamsetty Jayaram Setty, who died of cardiac arrest on learning about the death of his ailing son M. Chandrasekhar (42), at Eedigapalem in Rajampet town.

Chandrasekhar, a jeep driver, who was an anaemic and suffered from ulcer, died at the Rajampet Government hospital.

Rajampet Jeep Drivers Association members staged a dharna before the hospital alleging that he died due to laxity in giving treatment. However, Dr. Ramamohan asserted that Chandrasekhar’s condition was grave and was referred to hospital in Tirupati, but relatives delayed his shifting.
