Computerisation of land survey records launched

VELLORE: Collector of Vellore C. Rajendran has launched the system of computerisation of land survey records in the district at the National Informatics Centre (NIC) functioning in the Collectorate here on Thursday.

According to an official release, with the launching of the system, land maps would be computerised at the NIC and distributed to the public through taluk offices. However, it would take two to three years to fully computerise the land maps in the district. Therefore, the land maps would be issued to the public only after that.

C.P. Radhakrishnan, Additional Director (Land Survey), R.S. Mani, Regional Deputy Director of Land Survey, A. Suganthi, District Revenue Officer, M. Sankar, Assistant Director of Land Survey, Anbarasu, Personal Assistant (General) to the Collector, and Balaganesan, National Informatics Officer, participated in the function.
