TENHIPALAM: The Kerala State Human Rights Commission will hold a day-long seminar on ‘minority and human rights’ at Calicut University Seminar Complex here on Saturday. Minister for Works Mons Joseph will inaugurate the seminar. M.P. Veerendrakumar, MP, will deliver the keynote address. S. Varghese, Commission member, will preside over the function. Abdussamad Samadani, former MP, will speak on ‘Constitution and human rights’. K.N. Ganesh, reader in the Department of History, Calicut University, will speak on ‘minority rights and human rights’. Jayesh Joseph, criminologist at Kerala Police Academy, Thrissur, will speak on ‘criminality and protection of human rights’. Kochurani Joseph, faculty member of Bharatmata College, Thrikkakara, will speak on ‘role of women in protection of human rights’.
