Information on the latest in electronics and computer technologies. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will hold an IT Exhibition at the Institution of Engineers here from November 28 to 30 as part of its year-long silver jubilee celebrations. The exhibition will provide information and, where possible, demonstration of the latest in electronics and computer technologies. It will focus on technology and its use for the common man. Several leading companies will participate in the exhibition. These include Intel, Vodafone, HP, Reliance, Asianet, Airtel, Tulip, Emerson, Acer, DAX, NIIT, HCL, Nortel, Gemini Communications and APW President. The institutions of the Union and State governments that are participating in the exhibition include the VSSC, C-DAC, Kerala State IT Mission and IT@School. Local companies such as Compu-needs, SPACE, Infocare, Mediatroics, CNC, Innovastive and Ammini Solar will also be represented. The demonstrations at the exhibition will include that of some of the open hardware and software projects. The Kerala Section of the IEEE was founded by the technocrat K.P.P. Nambiar in 1983. It has students’ branches in 40 engineering colleges in the State.
