My minor daughters forced into prostitution, says woman

Accuses three persons from old city of selling them

HYDERABAD: A 40-year-old woman, Shiyanaz Begum, on Wednesday alleged that three persons hailing from Kishanbagh in the old city had forced two of her minor daughters into prostitution.

In a complaint lodged with the L.B. Nagar police, Shiyanaz Begum from Nandanavanam Colony charged that the trio had sold off her elder daughter aged about 17 years to unidentified Arab Sheikhs in Dubai after assuring her of a job there.

The second daughter, 16, was also forced into prostitution in the city, she alleged. Begum had been working as a domestic help to bring up her five children since her husband died a few years ago. While her two younger sons were admitted to government hostel at Chandrayangutta, her third daughter aged 14, was working as a domestic help in a house in Secunderabad. A year ago, she approached Rayeesa, Babloo and Javed in Kishanbagh on seeing their advertisement in a newspaper that they would provide jobs abroad, the police said.

The trio lured her to send her elder daughter abroad for work. According to the Inspector, she sent the elder daughter to Dubai trusting them.

Visits Dubai

As she did not hear from her daughter for several months, Begum insisted on seeing her and forced the trio to send her to Dubai on a visiting visa a few weeks ago. However, she did not find her daughter at the address given to her. She returned to Hyderabad a week ago and found that the trio had allegedly forced her second daughter into prostitution. LB Nagar Inspector Mahender said Begum’s allegations were being investigated into and the trio was yet to be arrested.
