Election authorities extend time for enrolment

Citizens can apply online at www.ceoandhra.nic.in Drop boxes put up at banks, malls, post offices
HYDERABAD: The election authorities have decided to extend the time for citizens to enrol themselves as voters till further notice. Tuesday was originally the last day for applying for inclusion of names into the photo electoral rolls, for Electoral Photo Identity Cards and also for making corrections in the rolls. The Election Commission has urged eligible citizens to apply either online at www.ceoandhra.nic.in, counters in the respective municipal circles, drop boxes put up at several public places including banks, malls, besides special counters in all the post offices. Chief Electoral Officer, I.V. Subba Rao, has stated that all applications would be processed and EPICs would be issued after verification. Final list of electoral rolls with inclusions is to be published on January 10. In any case, voters’ enrolment can be done throughout the year.
