Funds for roads

Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 420 roads with a total length of 1,115 km have been included in the seventh stage of the Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana 2008-09. Minister for Local Self Government Institutions Paloli Mohamed Kutty said here on Wednesday that the total outlay would come to Rs.505.03 crore. The State would get Rs.50.74 crore for repairs. The Minister added that the work on the roads would commence at the earliest. - Special Correspondent
