Exim Bank on credit risk management

Bangalore: Exim Bank manager, in Bangalore, Nitin Malviya, interacted with members of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, explaining features of International Credit Risk Management. The bank’s director S. Srinivas said despite the economic slowdown in the west, Indian exporters had good prospects if they were in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, healthcare, telecom and FMCG. Several exporterswere facing payment defaults because their importers in the U.S. had become bankrupt. In this context, knowing all about credit risk management is essential, said a bank official. — Special Correspondent
