KOZHIKODE: The National Development Front has flayed the move of the Public Service Commission (PSC) to appeal before the Supreme Court against a High Court verdict directing that a 50:50 representation be provided to Backward Classes in job appointments on the merit and reservation quotas. Secretary of NDF S. Mammootty and State Executive Council member Nasiruddin Elamaram said the PSC stance reflected the attitude of both the political fronts in the State towards the backward sections of society. The attitude of the CPI (M) and the Congress was clearly visible during the discussions held by the Narendran Commission, they alleged.
The NDF would organise protest programmes to highlight the discriminatory attitude of the PSC towards Backward Classes, they said.
