Demand to raise PSU workers’ pay

HYDERABAD: S. Sudhakar Reddy, MP and chairman of the Standing Committee on Labour, has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to increase the salaries of the public sector undertakings’ workers on the lines of the 300 per cent hike proposed for PSUs’ officers. He said the salaries of PSU workers had not been hiked since 1992 and that three wage revisions were due. –Special Correspondent
